Adding a decent editor makes life much easier, even if direct writing in code works fine too. After having scouted the market for free resources, only MTTRBLD and PagesCMS looked like viable options. I went with Pages just because of the easier workflow and a nicer editor.

So the first week of 2026 is history. Time moves fast. I was busy working on the layout, styling, content and overall structure of Thorsten.info.

New hero section. Articles pages with specific style-css. Added a counter and an RSS-Feed. Also streamlined the homepage and every button. Included sidebars on almost every page.

Worked out a template for the articles-pages and the projects-pages. Refined the Dark-Light-Mode function. Included System-Mode also. Reduced clutter in code. Planned more interactive little nuggets. Outlined the integration of a new project. So it was a lot of tiny things, but these also had to get done.

Moving into week number TWO today ... still busy with those little tweaks, which make a website feel polished and cared for.

Mantra

Learn new things every day. Apply what you learn that same day. Deploy as soon as minimal viable setup is finished. Repeat this process as often as you have a great idea.

That's my mantra. This is how things get done.
